About

How we work

We explain first, and you decide

Dr. Shadi Salameh runs Align Chiropractic for desk workers and parents in Portland. A visit starts with a conversation about your work, your week and what you want from care, not just the sore spot.

He combines adjustments with exercises and advice you can use on your own. Each step is explained before it happens, including the risks, and you can say no to any part of it.

  • Licensed in Oregon

Dr. Salameh is licensed to practice chiropractic by the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

  • Explained before it is done

Options, risks and fees come first, in plain words.

  • Records kept private

We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows.

What we look at

We ask about your day as well as your symptoms: how you sit, sleep, lift and move. The exam looks at the whole picture, and the plan is built around your routine.

  • Listen first

Every visit begins with your questions and what you want from care.

  • Look at how you move

The exam covers posture and movement, not only the area that bothers you.

  • Things to try at home

Exercises and desk changes you can use between visits, if you want them.

What to expect from us

Six things about how the practice runs

  • Low-force options

Where they suit you, Dr. Salameh can use low-force techniques. Ask which he suggests and why.

  • Risks explained

Every technique has risks. Your doctor goes through the ones that apply to you before you agree.

  • Your whole week

We ask about your work, sleep and what you do outside the office, because they shape the plan.

  • A plan you can say no to

You can decline any part of care, or stop, at any time.

  • Fees before the visit

Your doctor tells you the fee for each part of a visit before it happens.

  • Weekday and Saturday hours

Weekday visits run until 6 p.m., and the office is open on Saturday until 2 p.m.
